About Borrowed Event

A little about us: we are Cali and Miranda MacFarlane. We are 20-something sisters living in Atlanta with a passion (okay, maybe an obsession) with planning—events, dinners, parties, you name it!

We know the power of a perfectly planned event, and in our 20s, our calendars are booking up quickly with engagement parties, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, weddings, baby showers, gender reveals— the list is never ending! With every event, we know how much the host has on her “plate” (literally, we know how a plastic or paper plate can ruin the vibe quickly).

Through experience, we have found that even when we bring ourselves to shell out the money to purchase sets of items for an event, at the end of the day, these items all end up in a dusty box in the basement, never to be seen again…We got to thinking, there must be a better way. Immediately, Borrowed Event was born.

We have created a DIY, sustainable, affordable way to have your party your way! No more dusty basement boxes from your best friends’ bridal shower 3 years ago. Borrowed Event is an online catalogue of curated items that you can borrow for a small fee and return after your event. We’re so excited to offer an array of charger plates, decor, beautiful glassware, and more to make your day perfect! We can't wait for you to borrow from us!
